Unleash your inner dandy with this indulgent new fragrance from Savile Row's nattiest menswear designer, Richard James
BY AMY BRADFORD
It’s impossible to resist stroking the curvaceous bottle of this new scent by British menswear designer Richard James, with its softly dimpled surface and weighty glass base. Designed by James himself in collaboration with French studio Ateliers Dinand – famous for creating the packaging of Yves Saint Laurent’s ‘Opium’ and Calvin Klein’s ‘Eternity’ – it houses an intensely sexy yet unusual scent that combines floral and leather notes. The presence of tuberose – an ingredient more readily associated with hyper-feminine white florals, here used in greater quantities than for any other men’s fragrance on the market – sets it apart from the crowd, but fear not: vetiver, tobacco absolute and a suede accord keep the mood masculine.
