One of our favourite launches from Maison & Objet 2015 is this beautiful collection of home fragrances from plastic-fantastic Kartell
BY AMY BRADFORD
Italian brand Kartell can do just about anything with plastic – in the past it’s made not just furniture but also shoes and handbags out of the shiny stuff. Now it’s launched Kartell Fragrances, a line of candles, room sprays, reed diffusers and new-generation electronic diffusers that use the latest in scent technology. The striking and colourful designs, unveiled at Paris interiors fair Maison & Objet in January, have been created by Italian talent Ferruccio Laviani, designer of the iconic 'Bourgie Lamp' and 'Crash' sideboard. A team of international ‘noses’ is also behind the eight perfumes on offer. The highlight piece is the ‘Vogue’ electronic scent sphere, which can diffuse scent over 25 square metres non-stop. Molto bellissimo!
