What's it like to exhibit at London's premier design show? Thorsten van Elten's daily diary of life behind the scenes at designjunction...
BY THORSTEN VAN ELTEN
After three days of designjunction a mild case of fair fatigue is starting to set in. Three days of smiling, three days of answering the same questions over and over again, three days of standing on my feet all day. I once had this idea that I was going to put a cardboard cut-out of myself on the stand with various numbered buttons to press!
Please press 1 for: 'Where do you source all your products?'
Press 2 for: 'Why do you have so many German products on your stand?'
Press 3 for: 'Do you have a website?' etc etc...
But when I see their little faces light up and they leave my stand with a smile it makes it all worthwhile :-)
WE SAY: Oh, we thought you were a cardboard cut-out. You always look so good and never seem to change!
